Uber for Business Boosts Pipeline By 25% and Scales Content Output 2x

Key Results and Metrics:

  • 2x increase in webinar registrations
  • 5-10% increase in average webinar attendance rates
  • 25% increase in pipeline influenced by webinars
  • 2x increase in derivative content output

Uber for Business Demand Generation Marketing Lead, Arianna Etemadieh, struggled with their old webinar platform’s archaic UX and inability to generate real-time insights. They migrated to Goldcast for its user-friendly interface, AI capabilities, and seamless integrations. They’ve since doubled webinar registrations, increased attendance and pipeline influence, and scaled content output.

Challenge: Upgrading a Legacy Webinar Platform

Arianna Etemadieh knew Uber for Business's webinar program was a success, with prospects organically referencing sessions in sales conversations. But behind the scenes, Uber’s legacy webinar platform prevented the team from maximizing results.

Arianna’s team develops go-to-market strategies that boost pipeline and revenue, and webinars are critical to Uber’s demand generation engine. They help companies understand how Uber for Business can streamline employee travel and enhance their experience. “Oftentimes people know what Uber is, but it’s hard to conceptualize what the Uber for Business platform is,” Arianna explained.

Uber’s legacy webinar platform limited the team's activity in several ways:

  • no automatic notifications for registrations
  • no derivative content to extend webinar shelf life
  • no in-depth reporting capabilities

The lack of enhanced reporting was a major sticking point. Arianna’s team faced the prospect of manually informing hundreds of sales reps about webinar engagement — an inefficient, unscalable process.

Uber needed a modern video content platform that could support their sophisticated demand generation strategies. Arianna found the solution in Goldcast.

“Goldcast stood out for its ability to create branded pages so we could take Uber’s unique, distinct look and feel and turn that into a video hub where our webinars are hosted. The second piece is the integration with our native tools like Salesforce and Marketo.”

Solution: a User-Friendly Platform with AI Capabilities

Within 10 months, Goldcast use spread from one team to multiple teams. Director of B2B Marketing, Karthik Chandhramoulie, said webinar registration, attendance, and engagement have gone up because of Goldcast’s user-friendly features and AI solutions that drive on-demand engagement.

“Soon after successfully implementing Goldcast at Uber for Business in one team, it caught on like fire,” he said. “Other teams wanted to either invest in a video platform or replace an incumbent solution, and with the modern features and user-friendliness of Goldcast, it was a clear choice.”

Uber expanded Goldcast adoption across multiple teams

Full-Funnel Webinars that Generate Demand

Goldcast enables Uber for Business to host full-funnel webinars. The team can now create top-of-the-funnel thought leadership content on business travel and the modern workplace. They also create bottom-of-the-funnel content like product demos that tangibly showcase the benefits of Uber for Business, generating demand and pipeline.

On-Brand Webinar Experience Without Writing Code

Everyone is concerned about cyberattacks, and “when links don’t land on Uber.com, some clients are concerned that it might be phishing or spam,” Arianna explains.

Goldcast’s branded elements, like webinar landing pages and reminder emails, adapt to Uber’s UI and UX and reassure prospects that they’re still within Uber’s ecosystem. The best part? Arianna can create on-brand assets without writing a single line of code.

Salesforce, Marketo, and Slack Integrations Accelerate Deal Velocity

All of this would be much harder without critical integrations. Goldcast’s Salesforce and Marketo integrations allow Arianna to import webinar registration and attendance lists into these platforms. From there, the Goldcast Slack integration sends notifications directly to the sales team about how attendees engage with content.

Using these real-time insights makes it easier for them to deliver the right message to the right person at the right time, moving deals forward and closing faster.

Content Lab Extends Webinar Shelf Life

After years of one-and-done webinars, Arianna and her team could create derivative content that extends the shelf life of webinars using Goldcast Content Lab. Content Lab uses AI to identify standout clips for use on webpages. It also generates webinar transcripts, blog posts, and video snippets for social media.

Content Lab saves the Uber team time because the high-quality drafts require minimal human review to ensure they meet Uber’s brand standards. “Goldcast saves my team time; they don’t have to rewatch dozens of 30-minute webinars to identify standout clips,” Arianna said.

Next, Arianna plans to create a central repository of all webinars, with snackable clips of webinar content using Goldcast Video Hub.

A Great Team that Implements Feedback

Just as important as the technology is the Goldcast team members, who are adaptable and always looking for ways to improve the product.

“They can keep up with Enterprise, but keep the tech-like energy of Uber,” Arianna said.

The team is also very forthcoming with their product roadmap, Karthik noted. “They’ve been actively asking us questions and listening to what we need as customers. They want to make us successful and have even implemented a few features we’ve asked for. They’ll always keep us abreast of new things that are coming up, including AI solutions that the team is working on. We’re very excited about those.”

The Goldcast team has its finger on the pulse of the video industry, and they share tips and insights on optimizing webinars and video content. These insights keep Arianna’s team up to date on industry best practices. And, Arianna adds, they follow through on their promises.

"I think we've all been in situations where a partner will say, 'Oh, it's on our roadmap,' but whether or not it comes to fruition is sometimes an open question. Goldcast takes feedback and adds it into their product roadmap, which isn't something you see in many partners. The fact that they deliver on what they say is really meaningful."

Result + Impact: 25% Increase In Pipeline Influenced By Webinar Attendance

2x Increase In Webinar Registration

Implementing Goldcast has transformed Uber for Business’s webinar program. “We have seen double the webinar registration in Goldcast versus our legacy platform,” Arianna said. She attributes this surge in registration to Uber-branded registration pages, the registration form being above the fold on the right-hand side of the screen, with “get demo” buttons and a logo bar at the bottom.

5-10% Increase In Webinar Attendance

Prospects don’t just register for webinars, they also show up thanks to Uber-branded reminder emails from Goldcast. “We have also seen an increase of up to 10% of our average attendance rate, with our highest attendance rate to date being 52%,” Arianna added.

Once they’re there, they’re engaged.

“Goldcast’s modern features help customers engage more with our content in real time as well as on a pre-and post-webinar on-demand basis,” Karthik said.

25% Increase In Pipeline Influenced By Webinar Registration

Uber for Business has also had a 25% increase in pipeline influenced by webinar attendance since adopting Goldcast. Arianna chalks this up to a streamlined webinar experience and the variety of engagement options available throughout the experience. These options include frictionless CTAs, post-webinar surveys, resource links, Q&As, "Get demo" buttons, and the logo bar where they can link out to further content — all of which have prompted more folks to engage. They also have an on-demand page that makes it easy for prospects to toggle through different clips to find relevant content.

2x Increase In Content Production

Content Lab has enabled Arianna and her team to double the output of derivative content they produce while saving time. In the past, Arianna and her team spent days trying to create derivative content. Using Goldcast, it only takes a few hours.

There’s no way Uber for Business could have achieved these results with their old platform. Now they have a video content platform that’s as dynamic as they are, and can deliver what teams need to turn prospects into clients.

Uber uses Goldcast to scale engagement and content from webinar

“Goldcast is a solid choice for those looking to modernize their video experiences online. Goldcast has helped us scale engagement and content from our webinars, which has been a tremendous help for our Demand Generation engine,” Arianna said.
