We were sitting on a goldmine of recorded events—hours of expert conversations and marketing insights—but most of it just sat untouched in our library. We had been wanting to invest more on YouTube, given it’s one of the most powerful discovery channels, but the idea of scrubbing through recordings to find clips felt exhausting. But this became so much easier to execute after Goldcast released AI Search. Here’s the playbook we used at Goldcast.
What You'll Learn
- How to use AI to surface relevant clips from past events and recordings instantly
- A fast workflow to repurpose event and video libraries into YouTube playlists
- Ways to extend the life of event and video content while expanding audience reach
Expected Results
- Curated, topic-based YouTube playlists in under 4 hours
- Higher discoverability and SEO impact from repurposed video content
- More views, engagement, and subscribers without net-new production
Step 1: Define your playlist themes.
We started with a brainstorming session to nail down the playlist theme. As our platform has grown, we’ve expanded into new personas like content marketers, and since we knew we had a lot of good content for that persona, we went with “B2B Content Marketing Tips” as the topic. Having a clear theme upfront made it easy to filter through recordings and select the most relevant sessions.
💡Hot tip: When deciding on playlist themes, think about what persona you want to focus on and what topics and pain points they think about most.
Step 2: Use Goldcast AI Search to surface clips

Instead of manually rewatching hours of content, we used Goldcast AI Search inside Content Lab to instantly pull every mention, tip, and moment related to our topic. We simply searched “content marketing tips” and within seconds, we had a list of valuable video clips ready to go.
Step 3: Edit and finalize clips
Goldcast auto-generated clips from those recordings but we cleaned them up a bit to get them Youtube ready. We made small tweaks—trimming or extending the video and adding intros and outros—but the heavy lifting was already done. We also applied some existing branded templates to make sure the videos all had a consistent look and feel.
Step 4: Build your YouTube playlist
Once clips were ready, we uploaded them into YouTube and organized them into a ‘B2B Content Marketing Tips’ playlist. We added final touches like titles and descriptions for the playlist and individual videos, and made sure to turn on transcripts. In 4 hours, we turned dormant content into a bingeable series that could live on long after the original content was created.

💡Hot tip: If you have some time, create simple thumbnails to have a consistent look for your videos.
Results
We quickly launched a persona-specific YouTube playlist, giving old content a second life and reaching an entirely new audience. Instead of spending weeks in search and editing purgatory, we created a fresh video series in 4 hours.
We’ve continued to add videos to the playlist and within the first few months, the videos have already received thousands of organic views.
This play has become a repeatable way for our team to fuel YouTube growth without producing new content from scratch.
